The general manager of Broker No. 22, Siprabi Securities Pvt. Ltd., has been taken into custody by police in connection with an alleged financial fraud case. The arrest follows a complaint filed by Mita Murarka Agrawal, the wife of stock investor Dipendra Agrawal, who accused the firm of defrauding her of Rs. 11.55 crore.

Based on the complaint, police initiated an investigation and named four individuals from the brokerage firm in the case: the chairman, managing director, general manager, and a senior officer. A fraud allegation was formally registered at the District Police Office, Singha Durbar, prompting the issuance of arrest warrants against all four on Asar 9. However, only one of the accused, the general manager, was taken into custody on Shrawan 20.

The dispute stems from transactions involving the brokerage firm, which also led to the temporary detention of Dipendra Agrawal. He was later released on bail under the directive of the Kathmandu District Court. The case has drawn attention to regulatory and operational lapses within the brokerage sector.
