We will invest in hydropower: Lamichhane
MYAGDI, MAR 2:
Chairperson of Non-resident Nepalis (NRN) Association, Jiba Lamichhane, has said the Association is ready to flow investment in hydropower sector if commerce-friendly environment exists in the country.
At a programme organised to hand over ambulance to Nepal Red Cross Society, Darwang sub-branch under the Cultural Goodwill Programme, Lamichhane further said, 'NRN is eager to invest in the hydropower having enormous potentials of development of the country but the income we generated abroad should be secured'.
The programme was organised by West Myagdi and MONA UK.
The country's social-economic transformation could be contributed enough if more than 3 million Nepalis residing in over 60 countries were provided with opportunity and environment for investment, he stressed.
The Investment Year announced by the Nepal government could turn to be a success if favorable investment-friendly environment was made, Lamichhane added.
