Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero accomplishes Eastern Activation; reaches out to 16 different schools and local youth clubs

To bring out the innovative teenagers from different corner of Nepal Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero Activation has been started from eastern region. The aim of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero Activation is to reach the teenagers nationwide to provide them the opportunity information. With this aim Glocal Activation team has successfully completed the activation in eastern region and has visited 16 different schools and interacted with more than 3000 students. The schools and places that the team has reached in eastern part are;

1. Bhadrapur - Bibhuti Vidhya Mandir English Higher Secondary School and Bhadrapur Higher Secondary School.
2. Damak – Himalaya Secondary School.
3. Surunga – Kankai Higher Secondary School.
4. Birtamod – Newton’s Education Foundation.
5. Fikkal - Everland International Academy.
6. Illam – Adarsha Higher Secondary School.
7. Dhankuta – Gokarneshwor Uchha mavi School and Deep English School.
8. Dharan – Merry land English Boarding School, Eureka Higher Secondary School and Nepal Police School.
9. Itahari – Modern Prepratory Boarding School.
10. Biratnagar – Koshi vidhya Mandir School, Namuna Vidhya Mandir School and Paragon Academy Higher Secondary school.

Apart from schools Glocal Activation team has also visited different local youth clubs in every places who are doing amazing works to bring impact in society. (i.e Youth for Social transformation, Damak Youth Club etc.). Activation team also had a discussion with Mayor of Biratnagar Metropolitan City

Mr. Bhim Parajuli at Biratnagar and Deputy Mayor Geeta Adhikari of Damak Municipality who are supporting the teenagers and youth in their locality.

The team will be also visiting different regions in Nepal to reach out the more number of teenagers. As, application for Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero, 2019 is open till July 31 and can be filled online at www.nepal.glocalteenhero.com.

Glocal Teen Hero is an initiation of Glocal Khabar (a concern of Glocal Pvt. Ltd.) to bring out the fantastic teenagers who are doing something beyond their academics to create a positive impact in their society. It is a national platform for passionate and innovative teenagers to share their initiation, creativity, and enthusiasm to motivate fellow teenagers to develop an entrepreneurial mindset.

Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero is successfully running in the fifth year; the first ever program i.e. designed to recognize dedicated, passionate, and innovative teenagers from the nation. In this four year Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero has recognized four fantastic teenagers from Nepal. Miss. Bipana Sharma, a 17-year old child rights activist from Sunwal, Nawalparasi, and Mr. Shantosh Lamichhane, a young scientist from Lalitpur were felicitated with the First and Second Glocal Teen Hero awards in the years 2015 and 2016 respectively. Similarly, Sachin Dangi, 18 year old Social Activist from Dang became Glocal Teen Hero in 2017 and Miss. Prashansha kc, a social activist and film maker from Rukum was a winner of 2018.
