Volatile stock market loses 0.88 point to end the week; Market closes at 1,198.54 points

The stock market ended losing marginal point of 0.88 points to end the weeks’ trade. The NEPSE index that had started at 1,199.42 points ended at 1,198.54 points losing 0.07%. The market showed high volatility during the day.

The total turnover for the day was Rs 24.29 crore which was the outcome of trade of more than 11.48 lakh unit shares. The shares of 164 listed companies were exchanged through 3,362 transactions.

Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 2.35 crore worth of shares was exchanged. SHL was also ahead in terms of shares traded as more than 1.02 lakh unit shares were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Naya Nepal Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (NNLB) earned the most today as the price of the share increased by 112 points and the LTP stood at Rs 1,968. Similarly, the shareholders of Reliance Finance Limited (RLFL) lost 5 points to record their LTP at Rs 120.

Both the sensitive and float index ended gaining 0.12 points and 0.02 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, only Banking, Hydropower and Finance sector landed in the green zone. Finance sector earned 3.33 points whereas Manufacturing & Production sector lost 16.12 points.
