Vice President Yadav Attends Reception Celebrating Republic of Korea’s National Day

Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav attended a reception ceremony organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday evening to mark the National Day of the Republic of Korea. The event, hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, celebrated the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Nepal and South Korea.

Addressing the gathering, Korean Ambassador to Nepal Park Tae-young highlighted Korea’s continued collaboration with Nepal in areas contributing to sustainable development and prosperity. He said that the Government of Korea has been prioritizing assistance in sectors such as hydropower, cultural preservation, and human resource development, key areas with immense potential for Nepal’s growth.

Ambassador Park noted that Nepal’s rich natural resources, cultural heritage, and young workforce offer strong foundations for economic progress, adding that Korea remains committed to supporting Nepal’s journey toward inclusive and sustainable development.

The ceremony also featured cultural performances showcasing the vibrancy of Korean traditions and art, symbolizing the cultural exchange between the two nations. The event was attended by high-ranking government officials, heads of diplomatic missions, business leaders, media representatives, and members of the Korean community residing in Nepal.

The celebration underscored the deepening diplomatic ties and growing cooperation between Nepal and the Republic of Korea, reflecting their shared vision for mutual development and prosperity.
