Venkata Vamsidhar Kuncha Appointed Chairman of Nepal SBI Bank Limited

Nepal SBI Bank Limited, in its 536th Board of Directors meeting held on October 31, 2025, unanimously elected Mr. Venkata Vamsidhar Kuncha, Director representing State Bank of India (SBI), as the new Chairman of the Board. Mr. Kuncha, currently serving as Chief General Manager (International Banking) at SBI’s Corporate Office in Mumbai, oversees the bank’s international operations across 29 countries.

He formally assumed office after taking the Oath of Office and Secrecy from Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Prof. Dr. Biswo Nath Poudel during a ceremony at NRB’s central office in Baluwatar, Kathmandu. The event was attended by senior officials and directors from both Nepal Rastra Bank and Nepal SBI Bank, including Deputy Governors, Executive Directors, and the bank’s CEO and top management team.
