US Ambassador Thompson Calls on Prime Minister Karki Ahead of Departure

US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson paid a farewell courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Monday, marking the conclusion of his diplomatic tenure in Nepal. The meeting took place at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Karki acknowledged Ambassador Thompson’s role in further strengthening Nepal–US relations during his time in office and expressed appreciation for his contributions. Ambassador Thompson, in turn, reaffirmed the United States’ continued support to Nepal and voiced confidence that bilateral ties between the two countries would remain friendly and cooperative in the future.
