Unstable politics obstacle for industrial development: Vaidya

SURKHET, MAY 18:
President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Suraj Vaidya, has said industrial development was not possible due to unstable political condition.
The industrial development was disrupted due to lack of coordination and collaboration among the political parties, he said.
FNCCI President Vaidya, who arrived in the Mid-Western Development Region to inspect the industries here, said it was good to make efforts from local level for the development of the industries rather than to look for government support.
Chairman Vaidya said he had seen different possibilities for the economic prosperity of the region, adding that it would not take time for the development of the region if only due attention was paid for the infrastructure development.
He suggested that the Upper Karnali Hydel Project that is to be constructed at the border of Dailekh, Achham, and Surkhet districts should be started at the earliest.
Similarly, Senior Vice Chairman of the FNCCI, Bhaskarraj Rajkarnikar, said national development was not far away if only environment was created to allow the private sector to work independently.
