Universal Peace Gala concludes at Lumbini
The non-profit Universal Peace Sanctuary has organized the Universal Peace Gala on September 21, 2023 at the beautiful hall of Nepal Academy in Kamladi, Kathmandu.
The distinguished event was graced by the presence of His Eminence Shyalpa Tenzin Rinpoche, who also served as the host. Former Rt. Hon. President Bidya Devi Bhandari was the esteemed chief guest.
An array of notable personalities, including renowned celebrities, influential figures from the corporate and media sectors, as well as esteemed government representatives attended the event.
During the Gala, His Eminence Shyalpa Tenzin Rinpoche introduced The Universal Peace Movement, a visionary initiative aimed at promoting peace as a fashionable alternative to war. This transformative movement seeks to shift the paradigm by fostering a culture of peace and harmony.
Highlighting the evening was the mesmerizing magical theatrical performance titled ‘Mayadevi – The Play of Unconditional Love’. This was a transformative staging of profound love and compassion.
The Gala served as a fundraising event for the Universal Peace Sanctuary, a center dedicated to fostering peace for all humanity currently under construction at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Lumbini, Nepal.
The sanctuary aims to welcome individuals from all backgrounds and spiritual traditions and provide solace and harmony to everyone who seeks it.
In May this year, the Universal Peace Sanctuary organized a similar Gala in Beverly Hills, USA. The Sanctuary also hosted the Gala in Nepal last year at Yak and Yeti Hotel.
