Unique Finance’s profit by and large stagnant, but NPL down considerably

Unique Finance Limited’s net profit remained more or less stagnant in the last fiscal year 2070/71.

According to the unaudited fourth quarter financial report published by the finance company based in Kathmandu today, it posted a net profit of Rs 3.047 crore by the end of the fiscal year 2070/71, up from Rs 3.046 crore in the previous fiscal year.

Though the finance company had posted an operational profit of Rs 3.44 crore by the end of the fourth quarter as compared to the corresponding quarter, the profit was stemmed by Rs 14.71 lakh it had to provision for possible losses.

Nonetheless, Unique’s non-performing loan has come down to 0.45 by the end of the last fiscal year from 0.51 percent in the previous fiscal year.
