Trump praises VW for $800 million investment in US plant

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday praised German automaker Volkswagen for a planned $800 million investment in a US plant to build electric vehicles. "Congratulations to Chattanooga and Tennessee on a job well done. A big win!" the president tweeted on the second day of the Detroit auto show.
VW announced at the auto show Monday that it would expand its plant in the southern US city and create 1,000 jobs.
