Triveni Group boss held for forgery

KATHMANDU, DEC 05 -

Police on Tuesday arrested industrialist Govinda Sanghai for allegedly tampering with government documents. Sanghai is the executive director of Triveni Group.

A high-level source at the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police said Sanghai submitted forged documents of tax clearance while participating in the tender of the Dairy Development Corporation (DDC). “He submitted counterfeit bills of tax clearance while submitting bid documents about five months ago,” said the source. Sanghai has been handed over to the Katmandu Metropolitan Police Range. The police source said further investigation into the case would begin on Wednesday.
