Traffic Police Report 1,854 Violations in Kathmandu Valley Within 24 Hours
In the last 24 hours, the Kathmandu Valley reported 1,854 traffic rule violations. Traffic authorities collected Rs 0.48 million in fines from those found breaching traffic regulations.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police, the violations recorded till this morning include 125 cases of drunk driving, 166 cases of illegal ride-sharing, 179 instances of traffic signal violations, and 171 cases of over-speeding.
Similarly, there were 27 cases of lane discipline violations, 104 incidents of unnecessary honking in restricted areas, 66 cases of parking on roadsides and pavements, and 112 cases of driving on one-way routes. In addition, 1,904 other traffic-related offences were also recorded.
