Trading of more than one third commercial banks halted as they continue with merger process

The new requirement from the Nepal Rastra Bank to hike paid up capital has forced Bank and Financial Institutions (BFIs) to go into Merger and Acquisition (M&A) process. The merger process of BFIs  has halted the trading of their respective stock in the secondary market. Trading of 11 commercial banks has been halted due to ongoing merger process.
