Total loss of NOC to go up by 15% in March
KATHMANDU, March 3:
The revised price of petroleum products in the international market has resulted in increment of total estimated loss for the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) by 15 percent to Rs 730 million in March. According to NOC calculation, the state-owned petroleum product supplier in the domestic market will bear losses in sales of diesel and LPG gas.
The NOC is currently losing Rs 5.43 in sales of per liter of diesel and Rs 513.14 in every cooking gas cylinder that it sells. As per the new rates forwarded by the Indian Oil Corporation, the NOC will generate Rs 2.27 profit in every liter of petrol it sells and Rs 9.16 in sales of every liter of kerosene. "The new rates have put NOC in an uncomfortable position," an NOC official said
