Total Deposits Went Up Rs. 14 Billion in End Week of Magh, Lending Risen by Rs. 3 Billion

Nepal Bankers' Association (NBA) has released a thorough study on the deposit and lending trends in the country's commercial banks. This data is current as of the end of Magh, 2079. The CD ratio stands at 86.24 till Falgun 01.

In the fourth week of Magh month, the total amount of deposits increased by Rs. 14 billion (Arba), reaching Rs. 4741 billion. Deposits totaling Rs. 4630 billion being made in local currency, with the remaining Rs. 111 billion being made in foreign currency. At the start of Magh, the total deposits stood at Rs. 4708 Billion.

Compared to the previous week's report, the overall amount of lending has inclined by Rs. 3 billion reaching Rs. 4290 billion. Lending of Rs. 4259 billion has been sent in local currency, while Rs. 31 billion has been sent in foreign currency.
