Today's Summary: NEPSE Takes Another Double Digit-Hit in a Trading Session That Seemed Like a Freefall At Times

The NEPSE index took another major hit today. The index lost 32.41 points in what seemed like a free fall at times. NEPSE opened at 2,674.82 and made the intraday high at 2,675.41. While the index went as low as 2,625.92, it ultimately closed at 2,632.20, which is 32.41 points lower than yesterday's closing.

13,787,218 shares traded hands via 66,480 transactions. The trading of 214 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 5.77 Arba, which is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 5.53 Arba.

While the float index lost 2.36 points and closed at 181.93, the Sensitive index is at 473.39 after losing 6.21 points.

Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 25.45 crores. The shares of Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company Limited (HDHPC) traded the most today.

The four highest gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today, one of which is JLI, an IPO rookie.

Meanwhile, Liberty Energy Company Limited (LEC) lost the most 5.17%.

Sector-wise, only Mutual Fund gained a minimal 0.12% today. Among all other sectors that lost, Development Bank lost the most 2.1%.
