Today's Summary: All Sectors Close Red With Finance Losing a Painful 5.29%, NEPSE Index Down 2.82%

The NEPSE index closed at 2,749.85 today after losing 79.79 points from yesterday's closing. The index had lost 19.20 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,831 and briefly created the intraday high at 2,831.80. While it went as low as 2,730.44, it ultimately closed at 2,749.85.

A total of 11,917,077 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 6.527 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 4.42 Arba. 225 scrips traded hands via 100,666 transactions.

Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 29.82 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,579 per share. The shares of National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) traded the most.

A total of 3 scrips have technically gained 10%, thereby hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) and ICFC Finance Limited (ICFC) lost the most 10%, thereby hitting the negative circuit breaker.

All sectors have closed red today. "Finance" lost the most 5.29%.
