Today's Price of Fruits and Vegetables: Gundruk at 250 Rupees

The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Board has released the price list for today's produce. According to the board, the minimum price of Nepalese tomatoes (large) per kilogram is Rs. 80. Indian dry onions are available at Rs. 52 per kilogram, while Ghee beans (local variety) are priced at Rs. 100 per kilogram. Asparagus, also known as Kurelo, costs Rs. 200 per kilogram. Local cauliflower is priced at Rs. 50 per kilogram, and red potatoes are available at Rs. 45 per kilogram. Indian red potatoes are priced slightly lower, at Rs. 34 per kilogram. Tunnel tomatoes are being sold at Rs. 30 per kilogram, and gourd is priced at Rs. 80 per piece.

Moving on to other items, Dalle Chyau is listed at RS. 280 per kilogram, while local cabbage is available for Rs. 8 per kg. Broccoli costs Rs. 50 per kg, and one kg lemon is priced at Rs. 150 . Rayo saag and Niuro are both priced at Rs. 80 rupees per kilogram. Red cabbage is listed at Rs. 60 per kilogram, while local cucumbers are available at Rs. 100 per kilogram. Gundruk, a traditional fermented leafy green vegetable, is priced at Rs. 250 per kilogram. The board has reported that ginger is currently priced at Rs. 300 per kilogram.

In addition to vegetables, the committee has provided price information for various fruits. Bananas are listed at Rs. 150 per dozen, while pomegranates are priced at Rs. 400 per kilogram. Avocados are relatively higher in price at Rs. 600 rupees per kilogram, while pears are available at Rs. 80 per kg. Kiwis, a relatively expensive fruit, are listed at Rs. 800 per kg. Green chillies are priced at Rs. 200 rupees per kilogram. For fish, raw fish is currently being sold at Rs. 315 per kilogram, stick fish is priced at Rs. 240 per kilogram, and fresh fish (mungari) is available for Rs. 320 per kilogram.

Moving on to other items, Maldah mangoes are listed at Rs. 70 per kg, green coriander is available at Rs. 200 per kilogram, and local litchis are priced at Rs. 150 rupees per kilogram. Dried chillies are being sold for Rs. 450 rupees per kilogram, garlic is priced at Rs. 200 per kilogram, and Chinese garlic is available for Rs. 240 per kilogram. Dried chayapi costs Rs. 130 per kilogram, while capsicums are listed at Rs. 70 per piece.
