Today's Market Summary: NEPSE Loses 18.56 Points, Mahila Laghubitta Loses Gaining Streak; All Sectors Closed Red

The NEPSE index lost 18.56 points today and closed at 2,618.56. While the market-open itself is the intraday high, the index went as low as 2,613.64.

12,728,125 shares traded hands via 75,046 transactions. The trading of 219 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.14 Arba. While the float index lost 1.18 points and closed at 180.69, the Sensitive index is at 470.73 after losing 2.31 points.

Nepal Credit & Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 28.86 crores. The shares of Kumari Bank Limited (KBL) traded the most.

Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMATA) and Ru Ru Jalvidut Pariyojana Limited (RURU) impressively closed at the upper limit of 10% gain today.

On the other side of things, Mahila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBSL) and Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC) lost the most, with both companies losing 10% and hitting the negative circuit breaker for the day. Today was MLBSL's first red after being traded in NEPSE.

Microfinance lost the most 1.78% today. All sectors have closed red.
