Third Tihar Flora Expo Draws 35,000 Visitors ; Generates Rs 10 Million in Sales

The five-day Third Tihar Flora Expo, organized by the Nepal Nursery Entrepreneurs Association at Bhrikutimandap, concluded on Saturday. The event recorded transactions worth Rs 10 million and attracting over 35,000 visitors.

The event featured 70 stalls, including 62 commercial, four official from the Department of Plant Resources and the Floriculture Development Centre, and four competitive stalls.

Expo Coordinator and Vice President of the Association Laxmi Maharjan highlighted the strong public turnout and sales figures. Former Environment Minister Ganesh Sah, speaking at the closing ceremony, emphasized collective responsibility in protecting the environment.

Actress Manisha Koirala emphasized the importance of preserving traditional and indigenous plants to maintain environmental balance.

Association President Ramji Prasad Timilsina pledged to prioritize traditional local and indigenous nursery plants in future expos, aligning with the association’s environmental commitment.
