The Comeback is Stronger than the Setback; NEPSE Creates New All-Time High With a Massive 65.49 Points Intraday Gain

The NEPSE index gained a massive 65.49 points today and closed at 2,473.73. This is a 2.72% gain from yesterday's closing. With this, NEPSE has gained all that it had lost and some more.

2,473.73 is the highest point the index has ever reached since its inception. This came at a time when some investors had speculated the occurrence of a correction. Like always, the market has its own rules. It just does what it does.

The index opened at 2,434.48 and went as low as 2,429.90. The index then gained aggressively and closed at the all-time high at 2,473.73, which is also the intraday high.

15,325,623 shares traded hands via 74,715 transactions. The trading of 200 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 8.59 Arba. While the float index gained 4.11 points and closed at 167.84, the Sensitive index is at 451.38 after losing 14.1 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 58.25 crores. The shares of Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) traded the most.

More than two dozen companies have technically hit the 10% positive circuit as of market close today.

Meanwhile, Oriental Hotel Limited (OHL) lost the most 4.15%.

Only the Hotel sector lost 2.85% today. Among all other sectors that gained, Non-Life Insurance has gained the most 5.04%.
