Taragaon and Soaltee report healthy growth in Q2 – thanks to operational profit

Taragaon Regency Hotels Limited and Soaltee Hotel Limited, two of the leading five-star hotel groups of the country, have reported health profit rise in the second quarter of the current fiscal year 2070/71.

Publishing the unaudited second quarterly report today, Soaltee has stated that it earned a profit Rs 11.94 crore in the second quarter after calculating the taxes, up from Rs 80.35 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal year.

The profit was mainly propelled by income from operations which surged to Rs 66.11 crore, down from Rs 56.06 crore in the corresponding quarter.

Similarly, Taragaon group, which runs Hyatt Hotel in Kathmandu, has reported that its profit has risen to Rs 13.41 crore as compared to just Rs 9.93 crore in the corresponding quarter.

It made the profit from its operating service which surged to  54.14 crore, up from 43.29 crore in the corresponding quarter.

Taragaon’s EPS stands at Rs 8.01 and its net worth per share stands at Rs 80.12.

Likewise, Soaltee’s EPS stands at Rs 5.56 and its net worth per share stands at Rs 42.12.

It may be noted here that only a couple of days back Oriental Hotels Limited had reported a net profit rise of 75.75 percent in the second quarter of the current fiscal year.
