Swarnim Wagle Elected as Vice-President of RSP Without Opposition

Dr. Swarnim Wagle has been elected unopposed as the vice-president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). He secured the position after Viraj Bhakta Shrestha, the other male candidate who had filed for the post, withdrew his candidacy, Shrestha is currently serving the Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation in the Nepal Government.

Earlier, party leader Rabi Lamichhane was also elected unopposed as the party's president. According to the party's internal rules, the organization is structured to elect one president, two vice-presidents, one general secretary, and three joint general secretaries.

RSP also published the list of 99 Central Committee members who are elected yesterday and remaining 51 committee members will be choose by President Rabi Lamichhane.
