Surya Life Insurance to convene its 10th AGM today; Company to endorse 12% bonus shares & to decide to issue 70% right shares

Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL) is going to convene its 10th AGM today i.e. Ashad 32, 2075. The AGM is going to be convened at Hotel Harison Palace, Bajrangbali Margh, Biratnagar at 11 A.M.

The main agendas of the AGM are:

1. To endorse 12% bonus shares for its shareholders on the paid up capital of Rs 1.01 arba (adjusted after 40% right issuance)
2. To pass the decision for the issuance of 70% right shares.
3. To amend the Memorandum of Association and Article of Association ot increase the capital of the insurance company
4. To provide authority to the directors to many further changes in the MoA and AoA.

The other agendas of the meeting are endorsement of audited financial report for the FY 2073/74, appointment of statutory auditor for the FY 2074/75, to provide Rs 63.82 lakh as cash for tax of bonus shares and appointment of new director from the ordinary shareholders group for the remaining tenure.

For the purpose of the AGM, the shareholders register book remained closed from Ashadh 17 till Ashadh 23, i.e the shareholders holding shares till Ashadh 16 are eligible to participate in the today’s AGM.
