Sur Krishna Vaidya Sworn in As Director of Securities Board of Nepal

Sur Krishna Vaidya has assumed the role of Director of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). He officially took the oath of office as the board's director on Monday, 11th Ashad.

Vaidya has been appointed as a director representing the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). He currently serves as the vice-president of FNCCI. The Federation decided to nominate Sur Krishna Vaidya as a member of the board of directors on 23rd Jestha. The spokesperson for the board, Muktinath Shrestha, was quoted as stating that Vaidya was sworn in as a director on Monday, Ashad 11.

The Governing Board of SEBON consists of seven members, including a full-time chairman appointed by the government for a four-year term. Other board members include a joint secretary from the Ministry of Finance, a joint secretary from the Ministry of Law and Justice, a representative from the Nepal Rastra Bank, a representative from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal, a representative from the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries, and one member appointed by the government from the pool of experts in securities market management, capital market development, or the financial and economic sectors.
