On Thursday, the Supreme Court, headed by a single bench of Judge Dhir Bahadur Chand, issued a short-term interim order to prevent the ban on the South Indian film 'Adipurus.'

The Film Association had filed a writ in the Supreme Court against the decision made by Balen Shah. The association argues that it is objectionable to ban the screening of all Hindi films based on the movie 'Adipurus.' They had approached the court seeking permission to continue their business activities, and the court ruled in their favor today.

Meanwhile, Mayor Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City has stated that he will not comply with any law or court ruling that challenges the sovereignty and independence of the country. On Thursday, Shah wrote on his Facebook page, "When it comes to the sovereignty and independence of the country, I am not going to obey any law or court." He believes that the true intentions behind the film 'Adipurush' will become clear when its writers claim that Nepal was under the rule of India.

"Once the film writers state that Nepal was under the rule of India, their intentions become evident. If the Nepalese government considers this a mere stunt and the court permits the film's release, it implies that Nepal was indeed under the rule of India, and it would mean that the court and the government are seen as slaves of India," he stated. Balen emphasized his willingness to endure any punishment, stating, "The film will not be screened, and it will not be allowed to be screened."
