Super Khudi Hydropower Limited’s IPO Allotment Tomorrow

Super Khudi Hydropower Limited (SKHL) is conducting the allotment of its initial public offering (IPO) allotment tomorrow (March 1). The allotment will take place at 8:50 am at the premises of its issue manager Global IME Capital Limited, according to the issue manager.

The company floated 12,86,500 units for the general public at a face value of Rs 100 each unit, aiming to raise a capital of Rs 12,86,50,000. The issue was opened from February 17 to 23.

According to the CDS and Clearing Limited (CDSC), the company received an overwhelming investor response with 27,06,879 applications, seeking 301,37,120 units. The issue was oversubscribed by 23.43 times.

Since the issue is heavily oversubscribed, the allotment will be conducted through a lottery system. Only 128,650 applicants receive 10 units each while the remaining 25,78,229 (over 95%) will go emptyhanded.

Of the issued capital worth Rs. 1.55 arba, 20%, amounting 31,00,000 units, was issued to the public. Out of the total issued capital, 10%, which amounts to 15,50,000 units worth Rs 15.50 crore, were already allotted to the project-affected locals of Lamjung districts. The remaining 10%--15,50,000 units—were set aside for the general public. Of this, 10%, amounting to 1,55,000 units, were already allotted to the Nepalese citizens working abroad.

Similarly, 2%--31,000 units—were set aside for the company's employees, and 5%--amounting to 77,500 units--for mutual funds.

Global IME Capital Limited has been appointed the issue manager for the IPO.

CARE Ratings Nepal Limited (CRNL) has assigned the issuer rating of `CARE-NP BB (Is)’ to Super Khudi Hydropower Limited (SKHL). Issuers with this rating are considered to offer a moderate safety regarding the timely servicing of financial obligations. CRNL has assigned the company the rating of ‘CARE-NP BB’ for the long-term bank facilities and the rating of ‘CARE-NP A4’ for the short-term bank facilities.

SKHL is incorporated on December 17, 2008, for setting up a26 MW (amended from 21.21 MW) run-of-river Upper Khudi Hydropower Project (UKHP) in Marshyangdi Rural Municipality of Lamjung District. The project is constructed under the BOOT model (Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer).
