Sunrise Bank new member in Rastra Bank’s RTGS payment gateway service; interbank fund transfer to become easier and free for customers

Sunrise Bank and Nepal Rastra Bank have inked a MoU under which the commercial bank will become the new member of the Real Time Gross Settlement RTGS payment system that the central bank recently rolled out to make interbank payment for the banking customers easier and quicker.

The agreement regarding the same was signed between ED of Payment Department of NRB Mr. Bam Bahadur Mishra and CEO of SRBL Mr. Janak Sharma Poudyal.

Following the agreement, customers can transfer amount from their account in a member bank to another bank account in a real time just by submitting an application from any branch of the member bank, as per the media statement.

The service has come online from Bhadra 26, 2076, as per the media statement.
