Students to get 33 per cent discount on LPG, kerosene
KATHMANDU, APR 04 -
The government has been preparing to provide 33 per cent discount to the students on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and kerosene.
According to Commerce and Supplies Ministries Spokesperson Deepak Subedi, the meeting of National Planning Commission (NPC) to be held on Wednesday will finalise the issue.
It has been reported that the taskforce led by NPC coordinator Janak Sah with the co-chairmen of the ministries from Home, Finance, Agriculture, Education, Industries and Commerce has also prepared directives for the same.
According to Subedi, the students will be provided discount from the schools they are studying.
The students will get 33 per cent discount on one cylinder in three months or 10 liters of kerosene per month.
The Finance Ministry has already released money for the students discount scheme, sources conformed.
