STOCK INDEX ADDS FURTHER 3.85 POINTS, MADE IT CONSECUTIVE 10TH TRADING DAYS INCREMENT

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) today also endured yet another bullish rally with a climb of 3.85 points. With today’s advance, the benchmark index has pushed its bull market to tenth consecutive trading days.
Though the local bourse came out on top at the end of the day, the overall transition of market was not smooth as of earlier trading days. The benchmark index after furnishing a near to ten points steep rally in the first hour of the trade came to make a plunge near towards the opening level, by the beginning of the last hour trade.
However, by the end of the session, the market came to recoup and pushed forward to settle at 587.92 levels.
In spite of such a roller coaster ride, the investors’ outlook towards the market was not hindered at all as the market turnover today crossed the threshold of Rs 150 million mark to stand at Rs 185,264,243. Altogether, 434,696 units of shares were traded by 2,231 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day totaled at 596,266.16 Millions.
Likewise, all the sub-indices also attributed in the gain as all settled in the green zone. Hydro continuing its momentum made an addition of 25.74 points in its tally. Similarly, Banking also followed up with 3.13 points incline alongside 1.7 points leap of development and 3.38 points growth of finance sector.
Hotels sector also held ground to sustain 6.05 points soar. While, Insurance and Others came to propel by 4.82 and 4.69 points respectively by the end.
All in all, 91 scrips were traded, out of which 45 scrips gained, 19 remained intact and 27 scrips lost.
The best performer in today’s session was Oriental Hotel Ltd. (OHL), closed at Rs 228, with a gain of Rs 16 or 7.55 percent whereas Neco Insurance Co. (NIL) , closed at Rs 138, was the worst performer for the day with a loss of Rs 12 or 8 percent.
The scrip with the highest turnover in today’s market was of NABIL Bank Limited Promotor Share (NABILP), closed at Rs 1344, with Rs 15,297,760 totaling 11,559 units which were carried out through 11 transactions.
Among the ordinary shares, Nabil Bank Ltd. (NABIL), closed at Rs 2200, had the highest turnover worth Rs 14,001,047 which was carried out through 54 transactions totaling 6,354 units.
The broker with the highest standalone dealing of the NABIL was Broker No 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) with 19.05%; amounting Rs 5,335,985 via 13 transactions totaling 2,400 units in which 820 units were carried out through 4 matching transactions tallying Rs 1,824,650.
