Stock Brokers’ Association Expresses Condolences Over Gen-Z Protest Casualties, Calls for Calm and Stability

The Stock Brokers’ Association of Nepal (SBAN) has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths and injuries during the Gen-Z protests on Bhadra 23. Extending condolences to the bereaved families, the association urged the government to ensure proper treatment for the injured while also protecting public and private property.
SBAN stated that the tragedy has created a grave situation for the country and warned that prolonged unrest could severely affect financial markets, trading systems, and the overall economy. The association noted that disruptions in trading and communication channels have already impacted investor confidence, fund flows, and market operations.
Apologizing for the inconvenience caused by trading disturbances, SBAN assured stakeholders that it will continue to provide timely updates. The association also appealed to the government and concerned authorities to take urgent measures to restore peace and stability through constructive dialogue.
