Stock Brokers Association announces AGM; Election of new chairman and working committee

Stock Brokers Association of Nepal has announced its AGM on Kartik 21. This is the 26th AGM of the association. The AGM will be held at the association's office at Putalisadak itself at 1 pm.

Among other proposals, the AGM will discuss the annual report of the fiscal year 2076/77. Furthermore, the AGM will elect a new working committee, along with a new chairman. Mr. Ranabhat, the director of Kohinoor Securities, is the chairman of the association at the present. He was elected in the post for a tenure of two years by the 24th AGM. He defeated his competitor, Mr. Raj Kumar Timilsina (Broker No. 34) with a margin of 11 votes. Mr. Ranabhat had received 29 votes while Mr. Timalsina, director of Vision Securities, received 18 votes.

While Ranabhat is not submitting his candidacy this time, the candidates will be known only on the AGM day itself. They will submit their candidacy in the closed session before the AGM and will compete via election during the AGM.
