Standard Chartered Bank insures deposit

KATHMANDU, NOV 25:
The CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Joseph Silvanus and GM of Deposit and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DCGC) Bhola Prasad Adhikari signed an agreement on behalf of their respective institutions on Thursday to guarantee the individual savings and fixed deposits maintained with the bank up to Rs 200,000. The agreement is compliant with the government’s budget and NRB’s Monetary Policy. It makes Standard Chartered Bank the fifth commercial bank to guarantee the deposit.
