Standard Chartered Bank earns Rs 1.22 arba in Q2 with 7.12% growth; base rate stands at low of 7.33% and NPL stands at 0.17%

Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited (SCB) has posted a 7.12% rise in net profit in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2076/77.

As per the unaudited report, its net profit has increased to Rs 1.22 arba, up from Rs 1.14 arba. SCB’s operating profit for this quarter stands at Rs 1.75 arba. The operating profit has also increased by 7.12% compared to the same quarter of last fiscal year.

As of the end of Q2, its deposit from customers stands at Rs 80.54 arba with floated loans of Rs 54.29 kharba. The company's Non-Performing loan has decreased from 0.20% in Q2 of last fiscal year to 0.17% of the current fiscal year.

SCB’s paid-up capital stands at Rs 8.01 arba and reserve & surplus of the company stands at Rs 6.33 arba.

The quarter end P/E ratio of the company is 19.13 times. The company's CCD is 78.56% and its base rate decline to 7.33% from 7.55%.

In the same quarter, the bank has Rs 1.03 arba as distributable profit after Regulatory Adjustments and PL appropriations.
