Slight decrease in Nepse

Nepal Stock Exchange after the meager gain for three consecutive trading days in the previous week, today decline by 0.63 points. The benchmark index hasn’t see a more than a point movement since the previous week’s fall of 2.59 points on Sunday. Today, the benchmark index after the climb to 398 level couldn’t sustain itself as the most of the scrips traded today couldn’t go upward than its previous closing price which made the local bourse trade below the opening level for most part of the session. The closing level of Nepse today was at 396.9.
In market today, Unique Finance Limited which has proposed to distribute 9% Cash Dividend added Rs 4 to its level to close at Rs 89. And also the Agriculture Development Bank Ltd (ADBL) which has decided to distribute dividend to its shareholders from this year profit climbed by Rs 8 to Rs 173.Whereas, Citizen Bank International Limited which has also proposed to distribute 8.42% cash dividend saw its price decline by Rs 8 to Rs 194.Similarly, the news of Nepal Rastra Bank to take action against the promoter group of Nepal Bangladesh Bank(NBB) declined by Rs 10 to Rs 125.
Other news related to market today was, Shikar Insurance Co. Ltd(SICL) which posted the net profit of Rs 80.36 million, was the Top Gainer for today with Rs 25 or 9.88% to close at Rs 278. Whereas, Hama Merchant & Finance Ltd, closed at Rs 133, decreased by Rs 14 or 9.52% was the Top Loser for the day.
In case of the highest transaction, Country Development Bank Ltd. (CNDBL), closed at Rs 70, top the chart with 109 transactions. Similarly, in terms of highest share traded, NBB topped with 11,828 units. As for the turnover, Nepal SBI Bank Limited (SBI) , settled at Rs 564, topped with Rs 6,010,011 of 10,526 units ; in which Broker No 40 (Creative Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 96.68% stand alone dealing of SBI, amounting Rs 5,811,067of 10,177 units via 1 matching transaction.
Sectoral wise, Insurance, Others and Hotels were only the gainers for today with 0.70%, 2.02% and 0.07% respectively. Whereas, Trading, Banking, Development, Finance and Hydro decreased by 3.55%, 1.2%, 0.38%, 0.38% and 0.13% points respectively. Sensitive index lost 0.02 or 0.02% points to rest at 102.21 level while Float index dropped by 0.277 or 0.91% points to close at 30.11 level.
Total scrips traded for the day was 91 with 30 gainers and 51 losers with total turnover of Rs 45,151,591. Overall 155,162 units of shares were traded via 1452 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 375,844.86 Millions.
