Skill Week 2024: A Platform for Collaboration and Skill Development
Skill Week 2024 concluded with a grand ceremony at The Soaltee Kathmandu, attended by distinguished entrepreneurs, government officials, and over 100 enthusiastic individuals.
Organized by Glocal After School, this fifth edition aimed to foster collaboration between industry, educators, and government to promote diverse skilling opportunities and showcase emerging talents.
Honorable Indira Rana Magar, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, graced the event. Skill Week featured workshops, competitions, exhibitions, job fairs, and entertainment, spanning various skill domains.
Five individuals were honored as Skill Heroes for their contributions to art and culture, entrepreneurship, tourism and hospitality, science and technology, and apprenticeship. Noteworthy recipients included renowned actors Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya, entrepreneur Narottam Aryal, tourism pioneer Chhaya Sharma, cardiac surgeon Bhagawan Koirala, and aspiring chef Puspa Chaudhary.
The ninth edition of 'CEO Unplugged' convened prominent CEOs and entrepreneurs to inspire the next generation. Panel discussions explored topics such as youth employment and strategic alliances for societal impact. The event garnered support from various organizations and sponsors, marking a collaborative effort to empower Nepal's youth and foster inclusive growth.
