Sindhuli transforming into financial hub

SINDHULI, Nov 26:

The people of Sindhuli district in the inner Tarai region of Janakpur zone are hopeful about possible economic boom as three national highways are all set to intersect in the district.

Locals believe that Sindhuli could transform into a financial hub as it is the meeting point of the under-construction BP Highway, Hetauda-Sindhuli-Chatara alternative highway as well as the Mid-Hill Highway. The development of road networks has opened the vistas of development and with that a ray of hope among the locals.

According to contractors, over 80 percent construction works of the BP Highway have been competed. The 160 km long highway that links Sindhuli with the East-West Highway and Kathmandu via Banepa has been gradually turning the place to a hub of financial activities.

In the first phase, Bardibas-Sindhuli road section was completed and handed over to the government.
The Sindhuli-Khurkot road section was completed in the second phase, and the Nepalthok-Banepa section completed in the third. The construction of Khurkot-Nepalthok road is underway in the fourth phase.

The Highway is expected to come be completed by next year.
The Mid-Hill Highway being constructed also passes through Sindhuli that brings still more potential for further growth of the place.
The Highway of national priority is being constructed with an estimated cost of 35 billion rupees. The project links Sindhuli with Ramechhap district.

With the completion of the road networks, Sindhuli is expected to be the center of trade route from China to India.

Similarly, the construction of Hetauda-Sindhuli-Gaighat-Chatara byroad has gathered momentum.
Furthermore, the government is planning to develop a well-planned city in Sindhuli Khurkot area.
