Simrik Air adds new chopper
KATHMANDU:
Simrik Air — a domestic chopper company — added AS 350B3+ in its service. “We provide the best chopper services to major tourism destinations,” it said, adding that the company established one decade ago currently has two nine seater BK-117 B2 helicopters.
The company is also providing transportation services to remote areas of the country along with promoting religious tourism in Kailash Mansarowar through flight to Hilsa of Humla district, Miktinath, Damodar Kunda, Lumbini, Pathibhara, Khaptad and more.
The French-made AS 350B3+ helicopter is famous for safe flight in the world, general manager of the company Yograj Kandel Sharma said, adding that the new chopper can fly with 1,400 weight in difficult terrine. “The six-seat chopper will fly in the Nepali sky from August 22.”
The company has plans to add two more choppers by 2012. It has a contract with Eurocopter South East Asia to buy AS 350B3e helicopters at the beginning and middle of next year.
After the purchase, the company will have five choppers.
