SHRINKAGE IN NEPSE MOVEMENT

Yet again the market index continued with its low movement as the local bourse traded in between the range of less than one point. The local bourse following the trade from the yesterday’s closing, progressed with downward movement and continued with the sideways movement between the 495.54 and 494.4 points, lastly to halt at 495.34 points with a loss of 0.20 points.
The most of the sub-indices closed in the red zone today; the highest loss was faced by Insurance worth 3.56 points followed by Banking with a 0.76 point drop, Hydro with 0.26 point plunge and Development with 0.09 points tumble. Only two sectors settled in green terrain i.e. Hotels with 19.02 point gain and Finance with 1.23 point climbs. As for Others, it remained intact at 616.82 levels.
Overall there were trades of 89 scrips among which 32 scrips increased 17 remained intact and 39 scrips decreased. The best performer for the day was, Supreme Development Bank Ltd. (SUPRME), closed at Rs 72, with Rs 5 or 7.46% gain. Whereas, NB Insurance Co. Ltd. (NBIL), closed at Rs 70, was the worst performer with Rs 7 or 9.09% loss. Among shares trading above par, Tinau Development Bank Limited (TNBL), closed at Rs 125, topped with Rs 6 or 5.04% gain. Whereas, International Development Bank Ltd. (INDBL), closed at Rs 100, was the top loser with Rs 4 or 3.85% loss.
In case of the highest shares traded among mutual fund, Nabil Balance Fund 1 (NBF1), closed at Rs 10.30, topped with 35,160 units. In case of ordinary scrips, Commerz and Trust Bank Nepal Ltd. (CTBNL), closed at Rs 144, topped with 14,555 units.
In terms of turnover, Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NLIC), closed at Rs 1305, topped with 4,438 units worth Rs 5,746,260 via 13 transactions. The most active Broker with the highest stand-alone dealing of NLIC was Broker no 28 (Shree Krishna Securities Limited) with 93.61%, tallying 8,313 units worth Rs 10,758,900 via 14 transactions which include 3 matching transactions totaling 4,060 units worth Rs 5,253,990
Altogether there were trade of 196,033 units of share via 1,042 transactions worth Rs 48,341,698; the market capitalization at the day stood at Rs 490,780.55 Millions.
