Shine Resunga Development Bank Partners With Khalti to Enable Digital Payment Facility to Its Customers

Shine Resunga Development Bank has signed an agreement with Khalti to facilitate digital payments to its customers.

This alliance will enable Shine Resunga Development Bank customers to load their Khalti accounts using the bank’s mobile banking app. After loading their Khalti wallet, the bank’s customers can  make payment for various goods and services on the go via Khalti’s mobile app and web service.

Speaking about the agreement, Shine Resunga Development Bank’s CEO Prakash Poudel shared,

“With the advancement of technologies, we are enhancing our banking system to make it easier among customers which helps them to conduct financial activities directly from their smart phone. With this tie-up, our customers can make easy mobile payment using khalti and this makes us feel that we have headed one step closer to making transactions digital in Nepal.”

Likewise, Khalti’s Director Dhruba Adhikari shared,

“We are glad to partner with Shine Resunga Development Bank, one of the growing and leading banks in Nepal. Now, Shine Resunga Development Bank users need not to withdraw cash to pay for goods and services. They can simply pay via Khalti. The initiative would help consumers go cashless in payments and facilitate hassle-free transactions.”

Shine Resunga Development Bank Limited having its Head Office at Rupandehi is operating its branches in most of the remote areas of Province 5. Bank is going to acquire two (2) development bank, one Purnima Bikas Bank Ltd having its Head Office at Siddharthanagar, Rupandehi and next Bhargav Bikas Bank Ltd having its Head Office at Nepalgung. After the acquisition, bank will provides its services from more than 70 branches spread across various parts in the region.

Started in January 2017, Khalti is an emerging mobile payment solution in Nepal. It provides various utility bill payment services, mobile recharge, DTH recharge, domestic flight booking, movie ticketing, event ticketing, hotel booking, newspaper subscriptions, payments at online shopping sites, and insurance premium payments among various other digital payments services. Khalti is a licensed Payment Service Provider from Nepal Rastra Bank. Currently, more than 8,00,000 people regularly use Khalti for various bill payments services.
