Shikhar Insurance reports profit of Rs. 21.20 crore in Q2; Number of policy holders stands at 1,59,909

Shikhar Insurance Company (SICL) has earned a net profit of Rs 21.20 crore in the second quarter (Q2) of the fiscal year 2075/76.

As per the unaudited report for the second quarter published today, the net earnings from premium rose to Rs 90.49 crore till this month from Rs 86.59 crore in the corresponding quarter of last FY 2074/75.

The company has managed to hike its number of policyholders to 1.59 lakh from 1.41 lakh in the corresponding quarter of last year.

SICL has a paid-up capital of Rs 1.05 arba with reserve of Rs 34.88 crore. Likewise, the company’s insurance fund has increased to Rs 95.72 crore from Rs 73.37 crore in the corresponding quarter. 

Its annualized EPS stands at Rs 40.10, net worth per share at Rs 228.51 and P/E ratio at 23.27 times.
