Shangrila Development Bank Leads Bicycle Rally for Environmental Protection
Shangrila Development Bank Limited (SADBL), along with Development Bankers Association Nepal, Fone Pay, and over 35 other organizations, organized a bicycle rally under the slogan "Save Fuel, Save Environment." The event began at 7:45 AM from Sano Gaucharan and covered a 10 km route through Nagpokhari, Narayanhiti, Durbar Marg, and other landmarks, concluding back at Sano Gaucharan.
Mrs. Lisa Sherchan, the bank’s director, addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of environmental protection. The rally, which started with 150 participants in 2079, saw over 1500 participants in its third edition. Bank directors, employees, customers, shareholders, and well-wishers took part.
Participants received T-shirts and gifts, and a lucky draw awarded a bicycle to Mr. Rabin Rachalika from Bhaktapur. The bank also introduced green savings products, encouraging eco-friendly practices. Mr. Suyog Shrestha, the bank’s prominent executive officer, thanked everyone for their enthusiastic participation and concluded the rally with a message of continued commitment to environmental protection.
