Shangrila Development Bank Contributes Rs 70 Lakhs for Bhotekoshi Flood Relief

Shangrila Development Bank has deposited Rs 70 Lakhs to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to support victims of the Bhotekoshi flood, which killed hundreds and displaced numerous families on Bhadra 10.

Of the total amount, Rs 50 Lakhs came from the bank's corporate social responsibility fund, while employees contributed Rs 20 Lakhs. Bank CEO Suyog Shrestha handed over the cheque to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle.

The flood, which struck the Bhotekoshi River, left several people missing and caused damage worth billions of rupees. The bank extended condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the disaster.

The funds are intended to support search and rescue operations, relief distribution, and long-term rehabilitation and reconstruction for affected communities.

Shangrila Development Bank currently operates 109 branches and 30 ATMs across the country, and said it remains committed to expanding its services while upholding strong governance, risk management, and internal control practices.
