See the performance of Non-Life insurance companies based on the report of the Insurance Board

In comparison to the performance of the non-life insurance companies in the fiscal year 2073/74 and 2074/75, the business of the life insurance companies have grown by 16 percent. As per the report issued by the Insurance Board, 17 Life-Insurance companies collected Rs 22.13 arba as insurance premium. In the previous year, this figure amounted to Rs 19 arba.

Shikhar Insurance collected Rs 3.41 arba and was leading the non-life insurance companies. The premium collection of Everest Insurance increased by 129 percent as compared to the last fiscal year. The premium of only two insurance companies i.e. Himalayan General Insurance and United Insurance decreased by 9.73% and 22.85% respectively.

After Shikhar Insurance, Sagarmatha Insurance and Siddhartha Insurance collected Rs 1.83 arba and Rs 1.78 arba as the insurance premium amount during the fiscal year 2074/75.

The three new insurance companies collected Rs 60.5 lakh as the premium amount. The initial data is hardly comparable with the old companies as they have not been in operation for long.
