SECTORS SUPPORT IN NEPSE GROWTH

Today also Nepal Stock Exchange rallied up; adding 4.08 points to close at 492.98 levels. In the beginning though the market made a correction to the level of 488, in the rest of the session the benchmark index was all in green pasture. With the boost in the levels of all the sectors, apart from the finance sector, the market movement had a good run today.
The finance sector today it came down by 0.12 points; the fall in the seven scrips among the 13 traded under it, mainly dragged the sector down. Whereas, the jump in the price of Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) by Rs 5 pushed the Others sector up by 7.05 points. Similarly, Hydro sector also surged by 7.05 points as the Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) and Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL) increased by Rs 17 and Rs 9 respectively.
As for the remaining Banking and Financial Institutions sub-indices, i.e. Banking and Development both inclined by 5.40 and 0.42 points respectively. The rise in the price level of Nabil Bank Ltd. (NABIL), Himalayan Bank Ltd. (HBL), Nepal SBI Bank Limited (NSBI) and Nepal Investment Bank Ltd. (NIB) by double digits mainly supported in the sector’s growth. Whereas in Development , the enhance in the level of Nirdhan Utthan Bank Ltd. (NUBL) and Clean Energy Development Bank Limited (CEDBL) by Rs 13 and Rs 12 mainly helped the sector to sustain in the green pasture. The incline in the CEDBL was the highest among the shares traded today, making the scrip top gainer of the day.
Similarly, the increment in the price of Life Insurance Co. Nepal (LICN) and Prime Life Insurance Company Limited (PLIC) by Rs 20 and Rs 15 mainly contributed in the jump of Insurance sector by 3.3 points.While, Araniko Development Bank Ltd (Arniko) has decided to distribute 8% cash dividend to shareholders which subjects to approve of NRB and its upcoming AGM.
Overall there were 77 scrips traded among which 44 scrips increased, 3 remain intact and 30 scrips decreased. The highest loser for the day was Everest Bank Limited Convertible Preference (EBLCP), closed at Rs 700, with Rs 31 or 4.24% loss. Whereas in ordinary shares trading above par value, Fewa Finance Company Limited (FFCL), closed at Rs 206, was the highest loser with Rs 4 or 1.90%. In case of highest share traded, H & B Development Bank Ltd. (HBDL), closed at Rs 94, topped with 59,603 units.
In terms of highest turnover, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBBL), closed at Rs 256, topped with 46,211 units worth Rs 11,228,101 via 57 transactions; in which Broker No 20 (Sipla Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 75.96% stand alone dealing of NBBL, tallying 35,300 units worth Rs 8,528,600 via 33 transactions which includes 4 matching transactions totaling 9,700 units worth Rs 2,328,000.
The total turnover today was Rs 78,043,516 which is comparatively Rs 10,011,957 or 14.72% higher than prior trading session. Overall 275,592 units of shares were traded via 1207 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 467,570.30 Millions.
