Second highest decline in Nepse

Today Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) recorded 5.17 point decline in its level which is the second highest decline after 29th July drop of 5.56 points in this fiscal year. Apart from the gain in the Hotel sector, all other sector was in bearish trend today which didn’t favor the benchmark Nepse index , as a result the local bourse traded in the red zone for the entire day. The benchmark index which opened at 397.18 level decreased right from the start without any upward movement to close at 392.01 level in decreasing note.
The Top Performer for the day was Western Development Bank Ltd. (WDBL), settled at Rs 99, with Rs 4 or 4.21% . Whereas among the stock trading above par value, Excel Development Bank Ltd (EDBL) which has posted net profit of 35.68 million with Rs 45.89 EPS, was the Top Gainer with Rs 8 or 3.09%.The scrip closed at Rs 267. Likewise, City Development Bank Limited (CDBL), settled at Rs 144, with Rs 15 or 9.38% down was the Top Loser.
Chilime Hydro Power (CHCL) which has posted the EPS of Rs 69.39 suffered Rs 25 loss to close at Rs 1,033 with highest share transaction of 123 times. All in all, with 219,800 shares worth Rs 24,848,000 via 15 transactions, KIST Bank Limited (KIST), closed at Rs 115, had the highest turnover and share traded; in which Broker No 45 (Imperial Securities Co .Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 96.06% stand alone dealing of KIST, amounting Rs 23,868,000 of 211,200 units via 5 transactions which includes matching of 210,000 units worth Rs 23,730,000 via 2 transactions.
Sectoral wise, Hotel added 0.38% to close at 496.23 points. On the other hand, Hydro suffered the highest loss of 2.34% followed by Banking, Insurance, Others, Development and Finance with 1.92 % ,0.59%,0.56%,0.51% and 0.15%. Sensitive index lost 1.44 or 1.41% points to rest at 100.9 level while Float index also drop by 0.375 or 1.23% point to close at 30.16 level.
Total scrips traded for the day was 80 with 16 gainers and 50 losers with total turnover of Rs 87,735,851 which is comparatively Rs 13,281,519 or 17.84% higher than prior trading session. Overall 367,037 units of shares were traded via 1210 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 370,424.98 Millions.
