SEBON rejects all five proposals to begin commodity exchange market in Nepal; recalls for applications from eligible parties

Securities Board of Nepal has rejected all the five applications that were submitted as the pre-application to operate Commodity Exchange Market in Nepal. The board has rejected all five applications as none of them has met the complete document requirements as provisioned by Commodity Exchange Bylaws 2074.
The board has recalled for the application process under which it will grant permission to two eligible firms to operate commodity exchange market in Nepal that could address the growing economic needs of the nation. The five rejected companies can also apply for reconsideration if they fulfill all the eligibility criterias, as per theSEBON.
