Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has received membership of OCED INFE (International Network of Financial Education). SEBON is the first Nepali institution to receive membership in OECD INFE.

In context of lack of financial literacy in Nepal, Board has expected that collaboration with OECD INFE can add vquality and value to generating mass financial awareness.

INFE is a subsidiary of OECD established in 2008 with an aim to impart and promote financial literacy globally. Currently, 64 countries and 86 institutions are full member of OECD INFE and 172 institutions of 95 countries are limited members. SEBON is a full member.

On July 2-3, 2019, SEBON in joint collaboration with OECD INFE will be organizing OECD-Nepal Conference on Financial Education and Financial Consumer Protection in Developing Countries. This conference is the first international conference which will be attended by more than 100 people representing countries all over the globe. The program will be covering topics such as Financial Education and Consumer Protection for Inclusive growth, Reducing Financial Vulnerabilities from Childhood, Financial empowerment across diverse landscapes and so on.
