SEBON chairman Mr. Bishma Raj Dhungana attends Ring the Bell for Gender Equality event at NEPSE; highlights about growing women participation in sharemarket

Chairman of Securities Exchange Board of Nepal Mr. Bishma Raj Dhungana has participated in Ring the Bell For Gender Equality event organized by UN Women and Nepal Stock Exchange on  Chaitra 12, 2077.

Like in other 77 exchanges around the world, NEPSE too conducted similar events to ensure gender-based equality in Nepal with a theme “No one will be left behind. Chairman Mr. Dhungana informed that women investors own 42% of Demat accounts, 45% meroshare accounts, and 31% online TMS accounts which shows that female participation in the Nepalese stock market is growing at a good pace.

The event was also attended by Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Ms. Neelam Dhungana Timsina, Program Director of International Finance Corporation Ms. Lopa Rahman, CEO of Mega Bank Ms. Anupama Khunjeli, among others.
